BALANCE DESIGNER About us: We're a German start-up that creates original and appealing online games for social networks and smartphones. Our small team is compromised of industry professionals; our attidude is passionate, results-oriented and geared towards win-win hires. Responsibilities: * Work hands-on on exciting social games for Facebook and other social networks. * Build and tweak the numbers behind the in-game economy of a social game, consisting of such things as item prices, levels, rewards, costs, etc. * Listen to players and tweak numbers to result into games that are more fun. * Take active responsibility in shaping and shipping our games. Must have: * You love number crunching. * You have strong analytical abilities, able to oversee the "big picture" of an in-game economy. * You play social games and browser games yourself (you might even apply if it's Farmville ;)) * You find the right balance between "left-brained" (analytical) and "right-brained" (emotional) aspects in design. * You're a good listener and turn player feedback into numbers. * You have a good knowledge about typical resources in games. * Good understanding of the game development process and the disciplines involved. * 2+ "released" games where you participated (include your free-time/school projects, size doesn't matter). * Team-player, communicative, results-oriented, attention to detail, willing to learn. * Proficient in MS Excel, Word and text editors. Nice to have: * Experience in game development as a programmer, artist, designer, etc. * Released an own social or browser game. Location: * Remote or on-site (as agreed).
